What We Do Best

Today's another cheat day for my hunny and we decided to have another pig out breakfast at the Mercato Market at the Fort. That's my very good-looking husband stepping on the gas nonchalantly!!

And this is me, eyebags and all, holding my breath! Hang on Brooklyn!

Binge factory here we come!

Paolo is taking this cheat day thing to heart and bought food from almost all the stalls. Here's his first pick.

And mine! Yes dessert for my appetizer.

Paolo had pulled pork as well. I wasn't kidding when I said he stopped at all the stalls. My sissy March says this is really good. Like Paolo, she's pretty tough to please..teehee!! ( Paolo and her are almost alike in so many ways, I think they were separated at birth.) She has some high standards so when she says something is good, then it must really be good!

These bagnets were so so...Hunny had some of this too so I got to taste!

Paolo's corner

And mine! Coffee for 20 bucks why not???

May I introduce to you my sissyboo, March. She's my co-doctor at Belo turned confidante turned soul sister! And because of her there was Paolo and Pat! ( naks. hows that for an intro charmedmac?) Oh and she's my blog sister too! Check out her blog @ charmedmac.livejournal.com.

And well because of us there were these two! Thats Chris, March's better half and Paolo's soulmate.Yup they're even tastier than lechon! Smile Chris!

Our big hommie came to join the pig-out fest too. It's always really a delight seeing Mateo. The first little boy Paolo and I fell in love with together. He's the happiest kid on the block that I've seen and not once did I ever see him throw a tantrum. Good job sis and chris!

Awwwww you are so adorably hungry!!

After that first plate is that box of pizza. Watch out Mateo! Tito Paolo might gobble you up too!! Holy cow!!

After eating, we walked around a bit to burn off some calories....by looking for more calories!!! This was my dessert!! Delish!! ( Its Christrmas bibingka by the way.)

And Brooklyn's! ( because of you sweetheart, I get the best of both worlds!)

That's Paolo switching to daddy-o mode and shopping for little B! Lucky little girl has the best daddy!

Look who I found!! The hubby was embarrassed I wanted a picture with this guy but that didn't stop me. That's none other that the master food blogger himself... Anton of Our Awesome Planet!! I told him I was starting a blog and he just has to be in it!! So this is us smiling away!! I hope he puts me in his blog too...tight??? haha!!

Yummmm my fave!! Just had to go get taho before heading off to work!! I could eat 5 cups of this!!

Later that night after work, the hubby picked me up and we drove off to Rockwell for some bibimbap and japchae  (Paolo's faves) at Kaya. We were too hungry to document so here's a photo instead of our after dinner slush fix!

We both had strawberry and banana slush ala his and hers. haha!

My impersonation of Paolo

Identical dimples aka abnormalities! ( and noses...I super wish!!!! haha!!)

For Brooklyn

For Brooklyn

Lately I'm finding it a real effort to walk around my usual pace. I guess the pregnancy weight is starting to kick in already. ( good lord!) I must admit, there are moments when I get depressed seeing my nose, thighs even my fingers go Shreksville! I read this inspiring verse somewhere and just have to repeat it to myself...." I am not fat. I am a growing baby." (100x) haha! thank you very much.
This is Brooklyn and mommy at 6 months!

Well at this point in time, Brooklyn is beginning to literally grace my consciousness with her presence. Alot. She's been kicking and kicking and kicking non-stop. At first it felt weird. Like the feeling of coy fishes floating around my tummy! But as days go by, her kicks are becoming more distinct and I am slowly getting the hang of it. Its actually something I begin to look for every minute.Sometimes it feels like she's even doing somersaults! Cute!!! Soon her daddy will feel her kicks in my tummy and I can't wait!

Brooklyn has been listening to music for some time now.My Pregnancy Guide says that by 16 weeks, introducing her to some classical music can help stimulate her brain. So the other night, Paolo wanted her to listen to some Jayz...And I was like "okay P diddy. Thanks but no thanks." Loud rap for our sweet pea this early? He calls it "profound rap" but still....Wowa might faint!
Here's Brooklyn listening to some Mozart. Daddy insists that we use his beats by dre...so beats by dre it is!:)

Paolo and I have started shopping for some of Brooklyn's minor baby stuff already. Yes, we are officially shopping for pinks!

Well and purples too! These are really cute! I want some for myself! Haha!

To keep the little one warm. ( ...uhmm in our warm country)

All the hype about going organic.

Paolo's sister from the US was actually the first to shop for Brooklyn. And because of Paolo's mad love for Jayz, she sent these..Thank you aunt Jaime!

Paolo's idea of little girl swag. One day babe...when she's bigger

For now it's good to just savor the moment and take it one baby step at a time

Hey Brooklyn! Mommy and daddy loves you

A splendid wedding at Splendido!

Weddings always make me cry.
I remember this one time I attended one and was friends with neither the bride....nor the groom. Back then, I only came as my date's plus one. So as the bride was walking down the aisle, okay in all her splendor ( and Charlotte Church's Song "The Prayer" resonating in the background), I actually found myself welling up! My date at that time found it incredulous ( since I didn't really know anyone), and made it a 3 minute topic for discussion at the dinner table. You know, actually, he got all teary eyed before me was what he failed to mention! Oh well....
So today, my husband, Paolo, and I,  took a drive to Tagaytay to witness our friends Ige & Maui, tie the knot finally! Here's a shot of the new mister and missus.

They chose to celebrate their special day at Splendido and I can see why.

Details of their wedding day...

Let their story be told....

Their love story was the inspiration behind the invite.

Sweet hors d'oeuvres

Up close and personalized..

The place cards were of trails the couple used to run together. We were assigned to the San Bruno Mountains. Must bring a shawl then!

and voila!

I really wish this was the fountain of youth...

This is one of my best gal pals! I'm her big fan and am uber proud of her. She's Preview Fashion Magazine's Deputy Managing Editor and her articles are always the first thing I check out every month. In fact, she's myself and Paolo's favorite go-to stylist. Hands down.

Lyca Puno for you ladies and gents!

That's fabulosity personified. Hey G! "Fab. Luv it. Say it fast." U promised me all the vodkas in the world when I give birth.;) Till then let's just toast first on........well, milk.

My turn to take their pic. Marvelous.

My husband is looking good in this picture. With him is RG ( lyca's future hubby "wink")

The boys of THE Fitness First Triathlon team. These guys train hard and parrrrtty harrder!!

Truth be told that to every successful triathlete man is one tough gorgeous woman. (Amen to that.) The Fitness First triathlete ladies and triathlon widows.

Fun times fun times!

Even Brooklyn is getting her groove on with the ladies!

Meet the Saulers.

Say cheese everyone!

Capping the night off. Whacky shots with the newlyweds! Best wishes Maui and "Iggy"!
