Paolo's First Experience..."wink"

We're going to Baguio!!!!

Ohmigod. Faint.

Yes. How's that for an intro? That's exactly how I am feeling because today we are heading to Baguio and I am way beyond thrilled! Baguio always brings back fondest memories of my childhood. Because we'd spend every single christmases and summer breaks at our lola's place, my cousins and I have a bond no higher energy can break. ( drama queen mode.)

So for the holiday season, I wanted my husband to experience Baguio the way I remembered it (well minus my crazy cousins this time..sob...miss you all!). We then packed our bags and started our 8 hour drive to the land of yummy strawberries!

As we hit the foot of Marcos Highway, Paolo wanted to get off the car and ride his bike to the top! WIld wild wild! He's been excited about it for too long so as apprehensive as I was, I just had to give in. Here he is in full cycling gear. And me in full mushy mode cause Im gonna miss him! haha!

Tailgating behind Paolo at snail pace speed...That's him warming up.

Driving by the mountainside...

Meet Janssen...My baby brother and Paolo's biggest fan behind the wheel. Step on the gas please!!:)

I think even Brooklyn was as excited as mommy!! Put on your ear muffs baby okay? haha!

Cycling is one of the things my husband is really passionate about (next to me..haha!) and you could actually see his enthusiasm climb after climb! Just like a little kid in his wonderland!  After 2 hours and what seemed like a 100 km uphill ride..we still got 5 more mountains to climb! Go hunny!!

When we got to Baguio, we were welcomed but this little sweetie! She loved her hot choco!

And they meet again! Tito Paolo and Aziza's playtime moments!!:)

This being his first time in Baguio, my parents wanted to take Paolo around town. We were like kids excited to drive to the ice cream store!

We took Paolo around the Mansion amongst other places. This is known to be the presidential dwelling place.
Self-portrait time!

They sell yellow corn on the cob all over the city! The reason? IDK! But they sure are good! Sprinkle the salt and lather on the butter...and what do we get......One big-eyed happy mommy!!!

Next favorite stop was the Manor at John Hay. This was were we used to have picnics when we were little. My cousins and I would skate and get ice cream and just have the time of our lives! Life back then was filled with simple pleasures and cheap thrills! I surely miss the good old days!
Manor still invokes the same old Chrismassy feel.

Our postcard moment...Happy Holidays from the Saulers! "wink"

My mom, dad and bro wanted some pics taken too! As you can see, Brooklyn is getting bigger and bigger as we speak. This is us at 6 months!:)

The outside was busy with preparations for the Noche Buena feast. It would be great spending that here someday when Brooklyn comes! Mental note.

Its also great we ran into Joel Munoz!! He's Paolo's teammate and our architect slash good friend. High respect for this man!

I think Paolo misses Amber this much....;(

The way I always miss my folks this much...

Hmmm we're seriously contemplating about buying this place......( and no i dont wanna snap out of it! haha!)

We walked the streets of Baguio after that. My folks and I took Paolo out on a stroll down Session Road! He loved it here like L.O.V.E.! He said it reminded him of San Francisco..the weather, the street vendors and them brothas!!:)

Ooooh and I also ran into my boss!! Merry Christmas Dr. Belo!:)

In a few hours it will be Christmas! I can't wait!
